TechTO Rocketships Tour: Startupfest Montreal Demo Day Recap

Celebrating standout founders & the VCs backing them early

A few weeks ago, TechTO brought its Rocketships Tour to Startupfest Montréal - and the room was buzzing. Founders, investors, and ecosystem partners came together to spotlight high-momentum Montreal based startups and the people helping them scale.

Eight companies took the stage to share what they’re building, the problems they’re solving, and the traction they’re gaining. Each was nominated by a leading VC who sees something special in their journey.

Here’s who pitched:

Dessn which is empowering product teams to move faster by enabling anyone - designers, PMs, and beyond - to build in production, no code required. Nominated by N49P.

Stay22 which is a map‑based accommodation platform for event organizers, ticketing sites, and travel publishers; and it embeds interactive maps that monetize attendees’ travel intent through seamless affiliate integration. Nominated by Real Ventures.

Arvo AI which is a natural-language cloud automation tool that lets teams manage multi‑cloud infrastructure, optimize costs, and generate Terraform from chat. Nominated by Panache Ventures.

Puzzle Medical Devices is building ModulHeart, a minimally invasive, percutaneous heart pump designed to offer long-term hemodynamic support for patients with advanced heart failure - without open-heart surgery. Nominated by BDC Thrive Venture Fund.

Maket.ai is democratizing residential architecture with generative AI. Generate custom floorplans in minutes using dimensional inputs, visualize designs instantly in 3D, explore design styles, and ensure compliance with zoning codes - all without a drafting table. Nominated by Amiral Ventures.

Patrick Murphy, CEO at Maket.ai presenting his company on the TechTO Rocketships stage at Montreal StartupFest

Flare, a Threat Exposure Management platform that monitors both clear and dark web sources with AI, surfacing prioritized, actionable cyber‑threat intelligence to help security teams protect against ransomware, data leaks, and exposure - all set up in 30 minutes. Nominated by Inovia Capital.

Zaddons, a suite of deeply embedded HRIS extensions (shift, schedule & vacation bidding, self‑service tools) designed to streamline complex workforce scheduling, boost productivity, and eliminate admin headaches - all within your existing HR platform. Nominated by Framework Venture Partners.

AssistIQ,  an AI-powered platform that provides real-time visibility into supply and implant usage in operating rooms and procedural areas. By leveraging computer vision and machine learning, AssistIQ captures data without the need for barcodes or RFID, enabling hospitals to reduce waste, improve charge capture, and optimize supply chain management. Nominated by StandUp Ventures.
