COMMUNITY 🤝

Toronto Tech Week is quickly approaching, and TechTO is finalizing an exciting lineup of events. From June 23-27, Toronto’s tech scene will be thriving with events and activations taking place all week long across the city, including our own.

In case you missed it, we’ve decided to rent an entire space for the week and are calling it our TechTO HQ!

What is TechTO HQ?

It’s a place to call home all week long.

At TechTO, we are so excited to say that we have partnered with StartWell to create the TechTO HQ. With space to work, network and hear curated content for a full five days, it’s going to be jam packed and the place to be all week long.

We’re taking over half of StartWell as our HQ for the week

At our HQ, we will be running programmed talks including the Peerscale Off the Record sessions with top Founders sharing their unfiltered journey, a Funding Stage giving a deep dive on the various ways to fund your business, and various Market Overview Sessions hosted by renowned research partners on verticals including InsurTech, AgeTech, FinTech and more! Our content is already starting to fill up, so if you have suggestions of who we should have on stage — reach out to us at partnerships@techto.org.

We will also be hosting off-site activations during the week — stay tuned for more details coming soon!

If you’re a business looking to activate during Toronto Tech Week now is the time to get in touch. TechTO is the most connected tech community & the most active tech event production company in Canada. We’d love to help support making your activation come alive either at the TechTO HQ or across our other activations throughout the city.

PARTNER CONTENT 📌

One of the biggest disruptors the world has ever seen, AI is fundamentally changing the way businesses, government and people operate. And while we’ve observed the effects of AI technologies that currently exist, it’s impossible to fully predict the future.

On March 4, the federal government released its first AI strategy for public service, a new approach that aims to “enhance efficiencies, boost research, and improve digital services.” This plan has the potential to be transformative for the public sector, saving time and money, but the technology has also sparked concerns about job losses, the environmental toll and other unanticipated impacts. With nations competing to be global leaders in AI, we explore the opportunities, risks, and challenges that exist for Canada — and society at large.

On April 10, join our panel of AI experts moderated by Siri Agrell, CEO, Betakit as they discuss how to ensure this technology is adopted in ways that minimize risk and maximize positive impact.
