🌟 SPEAKER SPOTLIGHT
Devon Galloway is the Co-founder of Vidyard (YC S11) and a General Partner at Garage Capital, one of Canada’s most respected early-stage venture funds.
Devon built Vidyard by starting from first principles, literally using video to learn from customers before the product existed, and scaled it into a platform used by millions of sales and marketing teams globally. Today, through Garage Capital, he backs founders with an operator-first mindset shaped by real company-building experience, not theory.
Across both roles, Devon brings a rare combination of founder empathy, technical depth, and capital discipline. He is candid about the tradeoffs between venture and bootstrapping, the emotional reality of long journeys, and what it actually takes to reach product-market fit, especially in an AI-driven world.
At Together YC, Devon will share:
- What founders often misunderstand about venture capital (and when it actually makes sense)
- How first-principles thinking helps navigate product, capital, and AI decisions
- Lessons from building, scaling, and investing across multiple cycles
His perspective is grounded, honest, and deeply founder-aligned, which is exactly why it is such a privilege to have him in the room.
Next Monday. One room. Real YC signal.

Here are a few new roles across Canadian tech worth a closer look this week - spanning engineering leadership, hands-on product building, and operations at growing startups:
Hillsdale Investment Management is hiring a Senior Python Developer (Full-time, Toronto | Hybrid) to build the fintech tools that power real investment decisions. You will work closely with portfolio managers and researchers on data pipelines, analytics, and proprietary platforms in a high-caliber, research-driven environment. A great fit for Python engineers who love data, ownership, and real-world financial impact.
OCA Aspire Canada is hiring a Staff / Principal Software Engineer (Full-time, Remote Canada) to take technical ownership of a production healthcare SaaS platform used by 500+ clinics. Help us bring fresh voices and new perspectives to future TechTO events and podcasts.
💎 GET DEEPER WITH PEERSCALE
For founders and leaders beyond the early hustle, Peerscale is a private, peer-to-peer network where CEOs, CTOs, and senior operators connect, share what they have lived, and level up faster together. Unlike public events or broadcast panels, Peerscale tables are monthly confidential gatherings of peers matched to your stage - where real judgment replaces theory and shared experience becomes leverage.
Members credit these tables with sharpening decisions, shortening growth cycles, and unlocking opportunities you cannot get in public rooms.
If you are scaling beyond product-market fit and want a trusted circle that speaks your language - this is where the leaders you admire are already sitting.
