Who you are and what you do:
Parth, cloud infrastructure engineer. For the last 2.5 years I ran production AWS (and some Azure) for a US life insurer through a consulting firm: infrastructure as code with AWS CDK and CloudFormation, CI/CD in Jenkins and GitHub Actions, cost optimization, and on-call.

What you're building or working on:
Sharpening my DevOps toolkit with Terraform and containers, and building small automation projects on AWS.

What you need right now:
My next full-time role in cloud, DevOps or SRE, ideally at a Toronto startup or product company scaling on AWS. Intros to engineering leads or founders hiring for infrastructure would mean a lot.

One thing you can help someone else with:
Cutting your AWS bill or cleaning up a messy setup. I've cut monthly AWS spend by 18% through rightsizing and automated cleanup.

Where you're based:
Mississauga / Toronto.

Who you are and what you do:
I’m an operations and strategy leader with 14+ years of experience across marketplaces, logistics, customer operations, and digital health in Canada and the Middle East. I like solving messy problems, building scalable operations, and turning strategy into execution.

What you’re building or working on:
I’m currently exploring my next full-time leadership opportunity, while spending some time on AI and automation ideas that can make operations simpler and more scalable.

What you need right now:
I’m looking to meet great founders, operators, and teams who are building something ambitious and could use an experienced operator to help scale it.

One thing you can help someone else with:
Happy to help with anything around scaling operations, designing processes, improving customer experience, or figuring out where AI and automation can actually make a difference.

Where you’re based:
Toronto / GTA

One fun fact:
Last year, I was on a plane for work at least once every month. I’ve definitely become very good at packing a carry-on. 😄

The conversation doesn’t have to end, though. This is the place to keep it going — share a thought, ask a question, swap ideas, or connect with someone you met.

Not sure where to start? Try one of these:

💭 What’s an idea from the meetup you’re still thinking about?
🔁 What was your favorite moment?
⚡ What’s something you disagree with or see differently?
🔎 What’s a topic you’d love to see the community dig into next?
💡 What’s something you’re experimenting with right now?

Drop in, say hey, and start a conversation.

Every week, we hand-pick roles from across Canadian tech and share them right here.

Hiring? Post your role on the TechTO job board at jobs.techto.org to reach the whole community.

Open to work, or looking for a specific hire? Drop it in the channel and tap the community.

This is where we talk about the newsletter.

Every Tuesday and Thursday, we share the new issue here with the big idea in a couple of lines and one question. Jump in: agree, add an angle, or tell us what we missed.

The best ideas here shape what we write next. We'd love to hear yours.

Two things happen here.

Wins. Closed a round? Shipped the thing? Hit a number? Made the hire? Post it. We celebrate loud.

Asks. Stuck on pricing, a warm intro, a hiring call, a hard decision? Ask. There are 70,000+ people in Canadian tech behind this room.

One rule. If you ask, answer someone else's too. That's the game.

Tell us who you are. Steal this format:

• Who you are and what you do:

• What you're building or working on:

• What you need right now:

• One thing you can help someone else with:

• Where you're based (Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, other):

• One fun fact:

Five things keep this valuable:

• Help first. Thoughtful questions and generous answers are the whole point.

• Be clear and concise. Give context. Make your ask, idea, or offer easy to act on.

• Use channels with intention. Each one has a job. Post in the right place, once.

• Respect your peers. Assume positive intent. Different perspectives make the room better.

• Celebrate the journey. Wins, lessons, and the messy middle all belong here.

A few things we don't do:

• No unsolicited pitches. Sell by being the most useful person in the thread.

• Don't cross-post the same thing in five channels.

• What's shared here stays here. Don't take member perks outside the community.

• No "connect with me" spam. Make it meaningful.

Something feel off? Message me anytime!

You're in. This is the room for the people building Canadian tech, 70,000+ of us. Founders, operators, investors, and everyone who shows up to help each other win. Whether you're new to the scene or running the company, there's a seat for you.

How to get value in your first five minutes:

1. Post your intro in Introductions. Who you are, what you're building, what you need.

2. Drop a win or an ask in Wins & Asks. Someone here has your answer.

3. Follow The Debrief. That's where we share our thoughts and opinions about the newsletter twice a week.

Three house rules:

• Give more than you take.

• No cold pitches. Be the most useful person in the thread.

• What's shared here, stays here.

Now go post that intro. We'll be first to reply.
