Time is money
Today, we discover Phelix, and how it’s improving the everyday repetitive tasks for healthcare workers.
The healthcare space has undergone vast transformations over the last few decades, most notably with the implementation of Electronic Medical Records.
With the numerous benefits that have come along with this introduction, it has also added many new challenges including repetitive tasks, and far-more admin burden.
In comes Phelix, who is helping to solve this.
What is Phelix?
In simple terms, Phelix is using AI to automate and alleviate administrative burden and help to better connect healthcare workflows across the entire patient journey.
How does it all work?
Phelix's technology integrates fax automation, call center automation, booking automation, two-way patient messaging, and comprehensive workflow analytics to function as a virtual assistant. Its conversational AI engine employs natural language understanding to manage and process both administrative and clinical requests via phone, text, or a virtual website agent.
Additionally, Phelix can schedule, connect, and automatically bill for secure phone visits, as well as in-person or video-based virtual care, without the need for any integration. All services can be managed through a single phone line per physician. The startup claims its solution can reduce the time spent on workflow tasks by up to 75%, allowing frontline healthcare workers to focus more on patient care.
Why is this cool?
There are many reasons why companies and products like this are “cool”, but a few stand out to us:
An obvious one - Efficiency and Productivity
AI-driven workflow automation significantly reduces the time and effort required for routine administrative tasks. This efficiency allows healthcare providers to focus more on patient care rather than paperwork and scheduling.
Cost Savings
By automating repetitive tasks, healthcare facilities can lower operational costs. Reduced need for manual labor in administrative roles translates to financial savings and more time (which is also money).
Scalability
AI solutions can be scaled up or down easily to accommodate varying volumes of tasks, making them adaptable to the needs of different healthcare settings, from small clinics to large hospitals. As technology, patient needs and products advance, so does the technology that manages the “workflows” necessary for operational efficiency.
Enhanced Patient Experience
With AI handling administrative tasks, patients experience quicker responses, faster scheduling, and more efficient interactions with healthcare providers.
This leads to higher patient satisfaction and better overall care experiences, and quicker results reaching patients, especially when they really need it.
