Today, we feature unique insights on a commonly asked question from Founders.
Today’s Builders Perspective discusses the challenges startups and Founders face in transitioning from founder-led sales to hiring a professional sales leader.
Founder-led sales offer flexibility, direct customer engagement, and cost efficiency but eventually face limitations as growth scales. At this point, professional sales leadership is necessary for process structure, scalability, and team development.
The key is timing the transition right: hiring too soon can waste resources, while waiting too long can hinder growth. The decision depends on the company’s complexity and the founder’s broader responsibilities.
